Land A Helping Hand To Mother Earth
Celebrate Earth Day by giving back to our beautiful community! On Saturday, April 19, 2025, Oakland will host its 31st Annual Earth Day event—a citywide day of environmental service. Volunteers will engage in activities like tree planting, weeding, pruning, and habitat restoration across various local sites. To find a project near you and join your neighbors in making a tangible impact, visit the City of Oakland’s Earth Day page. Let’s unite to nurture our environment and foster a greener future for everyone.

The CheeseBoard Collective
The Cheese Board Collective in Berkeley, established in 1967 and worker-owned since 1971, is famous for its vegetarian pizzas. They create a daily menu with fresh, local ingredients, showcasing quality and creativity. The collective has influenced Berkeley's "Gourmet Ghetto," promoting community and great food. They are known to have lines around the block to enjoy some good pizza and tunes, but skip the wait and have it here at The Blake! Their pizza will be served at our Earth Day Pizza Party, sharing Berkeley's culinary legacy.
